VIRTUE

“Moved with pity…” (v.41)

Mercy is the essence of God. Therefore, “be merciful like the heavenly”. Church through the celebration of the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy reminds wherever in whatever forms church exists like parishes, communities, associations, movements and families to manifest God’s mercy.

Good deeds come from a compassionate heart. When you do something good to others it is a ‘favor’ and you are a philanthropist. But when you do the same gesture of goodness with love moved with pity (compassion), it is not merely a favor, but is a VIRTUE and you are a “Missionary of Mercy”.

Jesus is the greatest missionary of Father’s mercy! In this extraordinary jubilee year of mercy let us be a Missionary of Mercy by using our lips for truth, voice for compassion, hands for charity, heart for love and thus LIFE for GOD! Amen.
