Proper sleep is one of the major factors affecting a person’s health. When we do not a sound sleep, it can ruin not only the health of the body but also the health of the mind. Moreover, our lifestyles and day-to-day work can all be disrupted.
One of the things that many people have often heard is that sleep is not good, like a big burden on the mind, and can not sleep. It may be because we have more things in mind and thoughts about it than we can bear. There is a way to overcome such crises. It means surrendering our burdens to God. 1. Avoid Overeating before Bed
It is also best to avoid eating habits just before bed. If possible, eat at least two hours before going to bed. Avoid noises and snorts. Instead, gently chew the food. At the same time, thank God for providing abundant food.
2. The TV and Phone can be Replaced at least an Hour before Bed
It is the habit of many today to step in front of the TV or phone and stand in front of it. Even if it is completely avoided, there will be an opportunity for a restful sleep. We get home amidst too much hustle and bustle. The presence of the media only makes us more uneasy that it is not enough. We do not need to understand that immediately. So you can replace the TV and phone at least an hour before going to bed. You can try to calm the mind.
3. The Rosary can be Taken in the Hands
The rosary is a beautiful prayer that we dedicate our whole life to Jesus through our mother. That prayer has the power to calm down even the most polluted situations. Therefore, after calming the mind, one can recite the rosary. As we say each of the Mysteries, let us remember the blessings we were given that day. We can apologize for the mistakes we have made. We can leave our burdens to our mother Mary.
4. Let’s Read the Bible
Before going to bed, you can sit in bed and read the Bible. There is no need of reading the long chapters. Be sure to read it in the smallest part most carefully. After reading, close your eyes and meditate on the word for a while. Let us hear God speak to us through the Word.
5. The Sign of the Cross
After finishing reading and meditating on the Scripture, we can pray to the guardian angels for protection. Then you can draw the sign of the cross on your forehead and go to bed. It is a symbol of leaving you completely to God. Special care should be taken to keep the mobile phone away from the bed while lying down.
No crisis or problem can break you if you make these things a routine. These methods will help you to sleep peacefully by submitting yourself in the arms of God.
