Pope Francis returned to Rome after his visit to Cyprus and Greece. Along with the entourage and the journalists the Pope landed at Rome’s Ciampino Airport around 12:50 p.m. (local time) after two hours of flight.
Before saying goodbye to Greece, the Pope met with hundreds of young people at the Saint Dionysius school of the Ursuline Sisters of Marusi in Athens. The Holy Father explained to them faith consists of and encouraged them to make final decisions with courage.
“Faith is a daily journey with Jesus who takes us by the hand, accompanies us, encourages us and, when we fall, he gets up again. It’s like a love story, where you always move on together, day after day. And as in a love story, there come times when it is necessary to question oneself, to ask oneself. And it does good, it increases the level of the relationship ”, he explained to the young people.
The Pope pointed the importance of rejecting thoughts that lead to discouragement and loneliness because “it is a temptation that must be rejected. The devil puts this doubt in our hearts to throw us into sadness ”.
