Saint Eutychian was born in Looney. His Papacy began on 4 January 275. It was the pope who suggested that the remains of the martyrs be covered with ‘dalmatic’ (a special robe similar to the colored robes worn by the Roman emperors). He also initiated rituals to bless the lamps.
