Pope Leo XIV Returns to Castel Gandolfo to Celebrate Solemnity of the Assumption

Pope Leo XIV is set to return to the papal residence at Castel Gandolfo from the evening of Wednesday, August 12, through Tuesday, August 18. During his stay, the Pontiff will observe the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, continuing a traditional visit to the historic hilltop town southeast of Rome.

On Saturday, August 15, Pope Leo will celebrate Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Pontifical Parish of St. Thomas of Villanova, followed by the recitation of the Angelus prayer. This schedule mirrors his visit from the previous year, when he also presided over the Assumption Mass at the local parish.
