Pope Francis emphasized that the Gospel message is the most humanizing that history knows because it is a message of life, freedom, hope, which has inspired in all times.
The Holy Father was giving a video message to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.
“The Church is at the service of the Gospel, and the Gospel is the most humanizing message that history knows, “the Pope said in the video addressed to the Director-General, Audrey Azoulay, and to the entire UNESCO working community.
The Gospel transmits a “message of life, of freedom, of hope, which has inspired innumerable educational initiatives at all times and in all places and has encouraged the scientific and cultural growth of the human family, the Holy Father added.
The Pope congratulated UNESCO with whom the Church has a privileged relationship on its anniversary.
