Pope Francis Encourages to be Passionate about the Gospel

Pope Francis encourages to be to read and passionate about the Gospel. The familiarity with Sacred Scripture leads to intimacy with God, the Pope said in his Angelus address on 31 October.

“Dear brothers and sisters, the Lord is not s much looking for skilled Scripture commentators, but for docile hearts which, welcoming his Word, allow themselves to be changed inside,” the Pope said. The Pontiff encouraged the faithful to read Bible always and keep it at hand or pocket every time, in our pursues to read and reread to be passionate about it. When we do this, the Word of the Father enters into our hearts, and He becomes intimate to us.

After praying Angelus, Pope Francis expressed solidarity with the victims of recent flooding in Vietnam and also condemned the suffering in Haiti.
