The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue sent a message to Hindus on the occasion of Diwali. The Christians and Hindus: Let us bring light to people’s lives together in times of despair, was the theme sent by the council.
Hindus in the world will celebrate Diwali on November 4 this year. “That this holy day, even in the midst of the anxiety and uncertainty of the pandemic with the accompanying planetary crises, bring relief to their lives, homes. And communities hoping for a better future. Christians and Hindus can bring a light of hope to the lives of people in times so difficult,” the Vatican text indicates.
