Modi Invites Pope Francis to Visit India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Pope Francis to visit India. The meeting took place at the Papal Palace Library in the Vatican. The Prime Minister held talks with the Pope for more than an hour and a half. External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar and Ajit Dovel were with Modi.

The PM held talks with representatives of the Vatican, including Cardinal Pietra Parolin, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, after the visit of Pope Francis.
