Pope Francis Unable to Attend Colosseum’s Way of the Cross for Third Consecutive Year

Due to ongoing health issues, Pope Francis was unable to participate in the Way of the Cross at the Roman Colosseum on Good Friday for the third consecutive year.

Despite his absence, the Pope prepared the meditation texts for the 14 stations, which reflected on Jesus’ journey to Calvary. The ceremony was attended by hundreds of faithful and broadcast live, allowing people worldwide to join in the reflections. The Pope’s meditations emphasized embracing God’s economy of humility and mercy, and the importance of conversion.
