Pope Francis Intends to Travel to Oceania and Africa

Pope Francis has the intention of several international trips in mind for 2022, as he picks up pace following a slower schedule during the Covid-19 pandemic. Speaking in an interview, the Pope said that he would like to visit the Congo and Hungary next year. The first weekend of December this year he would go to Greece and Cyprus, but the final agenda of the trip is yet to be published. There is more chance to visit the islands of Lesbos, a place marked by migrants and refugees.

In March, the Pope had made a historical visit to Iraq, the first visit after the coronavirus pandemic. The Holy Father’s last visit to the African country was in 2019.
