Italy is Thanked for Caring the Sick Children from Gaza

The Vicar of the Custody of the Holy Land Father Ibrahim Faltas thanked Italy for accepting 14 sick children from Gaza for medical care, following a recent ceasefire. He stated that this act of help brings hope during difficult times. Father Faltas attended the children’s arrival at Rome’s Ciampino Airport, with notable figures like Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani and others present.

He acknowledged the challenges involved in transferring patients, especially children with cancer. Father Faltas emphasized that these children deserve a chance for a good life, including health, education, and play, which war has taken away from them.

He expressed deep gratitude to the Italian government and people for their support, noting that the war had previously hindered the transfer of patients and aid. Father Faltas highlighted that respecting the children’s rights and needs reflects a high level of civilization.
