Kidnapped Haitian Nuns Freed

After 24 hours of confinement the kidnapped nuns in Haiti were released on 6 March. The nuns work in an orphanage that belongs to the Congregation of Saint Joseph of Cluny, located in the community of Madeline.

According to Vatican News, the news of the abduction was spread on Tuesday by Father Gilbert Peltrop, former parish priest of the Saint-Gérard parish of Carrefour-Feuilles.

“No information regarding the conditions of his release has been released. The three nuns of the Congregation of Saint Joseph of Cluny were kidnapped from their home, located at the foot of Morne-à-Cabris, on 5 March 2024.
