The Press Office of the Holy See released Pope Francis’ calendar for January and February 2024.
The first event will take place on 21 January at 9:30 a.m. (Rome time) in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, where the Holy Father will preside over a Holy Mass on the occasion of the Sunday of the Word of God.
The last Mass celebrated by the Pontiff in this first month of the year will be on January 25 at 5:30 p.m. on the Solemnity of the conversion of the apostle Saint Paul. The Holy Father will pray First Vespers in the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls.
On 2 February, on the feast of the Presentation of the Lord, Pope Francis will celebrate a Holy Mass in the Vatican Basilica at 5:30 p.m., within the framework of the 28th World Day of Consecrated Life.
Later, on 11 February, the canonization presided over by the Holy Father of Blessed “Mama Antula”, who will become the first saint of Argentina, will take place in St. Peter’s Basilica at 9:30 a.m.
On 14 February, Ash Wednesday, Pope Francis will begin the season of Lent with the celebration of the penitential procession in the Church of Saint Anselm at 4:30 p.m.
Later, in the Basilica of Santa Sabina, at 5:00 p.m., the Pontiff will preside over the Holy Mass with the blessing and imposition of ashes.
