On 29 April, the two Catholic priests, who had been kidnapped in Nigeria have been released.
According to the Vatican agency Fides, the priests Fr. Chochos Kunav, from the Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, and Fr. Ralph Ogigba, parish priest of the church of San Francisco in Agbara Otor, in the Diocese of Warri, was released in the afternoon of May 4.
The Diocese of Warri told Fides that the priests “are in good health but, in any case, they have been admitted to the hospital to be examined”. “We thank all those who have prayed for the speedy release of the two priests,” he added.
According to the local press, the kidnappers would have demanded a ransom to release the priests.
