President of Hungary Thanks Pope Francis for his Visit

The President of Hungary, Katalin Novak thanked Pope Francis for his recent visit to the country. She also thanked for the confirmation of the faith of the Hungarian people and for encouraging the constant defense of the family in the face of the challenges of today’s world.

“Holy Father! Our hearts are full of gratitude and love. On my behalf and on behalf of the Hungarian nation, I would like to thank you for visiting Hungary once again,” Novak said in a video message in Spanish, posted on his Twitter account from him.

Pope Francis visited Hungary from April 28 to 30, on his 41st apostolic journey outside of Italy.

“His Holiness’s visit has given us strength, hope and affirmation and has left moments that will be remembered for generations to come,” the Hungarian president continued.

“Thank you for embracing the Hungarian nation, for strengthening us in our commitment to our Christian roots, in defending the family and in our constant efforts for peace,” he continued.

“Thank you for helping us Hungarians to get closer to each other and to God,” said the president.

“I pray, we pray for the Holy Father and we ask him to keep the Hungarian nation in his heart, in the distinguished place to which he witnessed during his apostolic visit to Hungary. May God bless you, ”she concluded.
