Pope Francis Declares Six Servants of God Venerable

Pope Francis authorized the promulgation of new decrees of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, in which he declares six Servants of God venerable; one from England, three Italians, one Spanish, and one Portuguese on 23 March, Thursday.

The Holy Father approved the heroic virtues of the Servant of God to Fr. Carlo Crespi Croci, professed priest of the Salesian Society of Saint John Bosco.

Likewise, the Pontiff approved the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Mary Catherine Flanagan, professed religious of the Order of the Most Holy Savior of Saint Bridget, born July 17, 1892, in London (England).

The Pontiff declared the Servant of God Leonilde de San Juan Bautista, an Italian nun of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, venerable.

In addition, the Church has a new venerable from Portugal. She is the Servant of God Maria do Monte Pereira, religious of the Congregation of the Hospitaller Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Pope Francis also declared the Servant of God Teresa Enríquez de Alvarado venerable.

Finally, the Pope approved the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Maria Domenica Lazzeri, also an Italian laywoman.

The approval of the heroic virtues supposes that the Servant of God, who from now on can be called venerable, lived faith, hope, and charity to a heroic degree.
